Senior Engineer (Node JS)

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who’s excited about building production-grade applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and cutting-edge AI tools like LangChain, LangGraph, and LLM orchestration frameworks. You’ll join a fast-paced, R&D-driven environment where experimentation and ownership are encouraged.

Responsibilities :

• 4+ years of Design and develop backend APIs and LLM-powered agents using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build AI-native workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, and integrate various tools, models, and vector stores.
• Architect and implement multi-agent systems with memory, tool usage, and task delegation.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, AI engineers, and frontend developers to shape end-to-end AI experiences.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and observability of agentic systems in real-world use cases.
• Stay up to date with the latest in the LLM ecosystem (OpenAI, Claude, Pinecone, Chroma, etc.) and contribute to Velotio’s AI knowledge base
  
  Must have skills :

  Good to have :

• Familiarity with OpenAI tools (functions, Assistants API), Claude, or HuggingFace models.
• Contributions to open-source AI tools or personal GenAI side projects.
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js) is a plus.
• Exposure to observability, monitoring, or data privacy in AI apps.
