Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Manager 2, POM Engineering to join our engineering team in Srimahaphote, Thailand. You will be responsible in working with engineering teams in US and Asia to support product development, factory readiness and Pre-RAMP to get the factory ready to produce in high volume. Also support the program strategy and factory requirements for high volume manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Involve cross-functional team to manage Engineering Change at Post-LPR for all Sustaining products related to HDD BOM setup & Shipment Process setup (FW, Label, and Drive ASM drawing) for successful market launch per committed schedule, in order to achieve KPI targets for volume ramp, yield, quality, scrap and cost.
- Coordinate all factory efforts to prepare and supporting Engineering Change implementation at Post-LPR thru End of Life for all Sustaining products. This involves reviewing all change requests, customer requirements, product configuration control, interfacing with other sites to change required support and working out a systematic factory implementation plan.
- Perform related work as assigned.
- Supervise team members in responsibility to accomplish job in most effective way with advisory by manager.
Authority In order for the incumbent to deliver the expected outcome, the incumbent is authorized to perform the following:
- Optimize on Operation/Process complexity control.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to operational process control.
- Perform assigned work to achieve deliverables committed to organization goals in accordance to this job description and in compliance with work rules and ethics and compliance policies of the Company.
- Report anomaly or non-compliance in relation to Ethics and Compliance policies of the Company.
- Report near-miss, close-call and work safety violations in relation to workplace health and safety regulations.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Business, Computer, or related field - Engineering discipline strongly preferred
- At least 2 years in Engineering or a related technical field
- Fluent in English for cross-functional and global communication
PREFERRED:
- Experience in manufacturing, materials engineering, or related technical fields
- Familiarity with supply chain management and vendor coordination
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across departments
- Working knowledge of:
- New Product Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR) guidelines
- HDD Process & Technology fundamentals
- HDD Change Management procedures
- Document Control systems and standards
SKILLS:
