What success looks like in this role:
1. Infrastructure Automation & Configuration ManagementDesign and implement enterprise automation frameworks using Ansible, Ansible Tower/AWX, and Puppet
Develop reusable automation modules, roles, and playbooks
Automate server provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance, and application deployments
Build idempotent and scalable automation solutions following best practices
Develop automation scripts using:
Python
PowerShell
Shell scripting (Bash)
Integrate automation workflows with APIs and enterprise tools
Build custom automation plugins or modules where required
Deliver automation solutions across:
Public cloud (Azure / AWS / GCP)
Private cloud
On-premises data centers
Automate VM lifecycle management, OS hardening, patching, and configuration drift remediation
Support Infrastructure-as-Code practices
Understand business requirements and convert them into automation design documents
Prepare technical design, effort estimation, and implementation plans
Lead automation delivery from design to production rollout
Ensure automation meets security, compliance, and audit standards
Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines
Version control using Git
Implement testing and validation frameworks for automation code
Support DevSecOps best practices
Troubleshoot automation failures and performance bottlenecks
Implement logging, monitoring, and reporting for automation jobs
Maintain documentation and knowledge repository

You will be successful in this role if you have:
Required Skills & Experience6-8+ years of experience in Infrastructure & Automation Engineering
Strong hands-on expertise in:
Ansible (Playbooks, Roles, Galaxy, Tower/AWX)
PowerShell scripting
Shell scripting (Bash)
Python for automation
Experience with:
Linux & Windows Server administration
Configuration management best practices
Infrastructure-as-Code principles
Experience working in hybrid (Cloud + On-prem) environments
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Experience with REST APIs and automation integrations
Exposure to CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps)
Exposure to VMWare and VCenter DC
Knowledge of cloud-native automation services
Security hardening and compliance automation
ITSM tool integrations (ServiceNow or similar)
