Be Part of a Winning TeamMicrochip’s FPGA software engineering team develops the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software used by our customers to program Microchip FPGAs. Customers perform their entire FPGA design flow using our software: from design entry, to synthesis, through place-and-route, timing, power analysis, and simulation.
As part of highly skilled and dynamic Verification team, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of functional areas on RTL designs, simulations, synthesis, timing analysis, hi-speed protocols, and hardware validation of Microchip FPGA products. You will be joining an agile, fast-paced engineering team, where you will solve highly challenging yet interesting problems. You will have ownership over a functional area to drive the product development of the FPGA Software.
About the PositionThis position is an excellent opportunity for someone willing to take on ownership of our next generation’s products and play a critical role in defining a roadmap for our latest FPGA offerings. The individual will have the opportunity to work on the Microchip SOC/FPGA products and will design and verify software flows for the Microchip FPGA Libero SoC while contributing to a broad spectrum of Microchip FPGA product functional areas like RTL designs, simulations, synthesis, timing analysis hi-speed protocols, and hardware validation. The individual must have strong RTL(VHDL/Verilog) coding skills and digital design concepts and must be willing to work in a fast-paced, high-demand, multiple-deadline driven environment.

Job Location: You will join the FPGA Software QA team in Hyderabad.
Responsibilities- Contribute to continuous improvement of design and verification methodologies.
- Drive delivery and support of robust, high quality software products.
- Design, develop, implement, and verify designs based on Microchip FPGA covering various configurators like RAM, DSP blocks, High speed protocols like Ethernet, DDR, PCIe.
- Participating in Design reviews, Give feedback on Design/Software Specifications
- Provide feedback on the FPGA architecture, use cases, tools, and documentation.
- Support product development teams with system-level validation and debug.
- Perform regression testing and Automate key FPGA flows.
- Provide technical guidance and support/train the junior members of the team.
- Huge plus, if you can Perform BFM simulations with PCIe or have hands on experience working on SerDes Designs Proven expertise on RTL Synthesis, Timing analysis and/or Timing closure
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelors or Masters in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- Debug and validate high speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet etc) on FPGA is a plus.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Hands-on experience in design and/or validation of complex FPGA features
- Strong design and hardware debugging skills with proficiency in VHDL and Verilog.
- Good knowledge of creating applications to validate FPGA designs is a definite plus
- Hands-on experience with Linux environment, Perl, python, or TCL scripting
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems and RISCV or ARM architecture is a definite plus
- Proficiency in at least one high speed protocol like PCIe, Ethernet, DDR is desirable
- Familiarity with tools like Vivado and Quartus is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment
