Job Description:

  • Design and development a wide variety of full custom analog circuits, including amplifiers, simple ADCs, References, IOs, Oscillators and power management systems.
  • Perform detailed circuit simulations and analysis using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Cadence Spectre).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications and deadlines are met.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate, guide, and review layout implementations to ensure performance, matching, and reliability requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with digital design, verification, and test engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration
  • Support the testing and validation of prototypes, including troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Document design processes, simulation results, and technical specifications.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve design practices.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s in any one of the following disciplines - Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, field is preferred.
  • Master’s in any one of the following disciplines - Applied Electronics, VLSI Design, Communication
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in analog IC design.
  • Fundamental understanding of semiconductor device physics.
  • Strong understanding of analog circuit design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard EDA tools for analog and mixed circuit design, simulation, and layout (e.g. Cadence Virtuoso)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to learn and operate some Microchip specific internal software tools.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with modern process nodes (e.g., 55nm, 22nm).
  • Knowledge of mixed-signal design and verification methodologies.
  • Familiarity with layout techniques for matching, noise isolation, and parasitic management.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation for simulation flows is a plus.
