Job Description:
- Design and development a wide variety of full custom analog circuits, including amplifiers, simple ADCs, References, IOs, Oscillators and power management systems.
- Perform detailed circuit simulations and analysis using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Cadence Spectre).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications and deadlines are met.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate, guide, and review layout implementations to ensure performance, matching, and reliability requirements are met.
- Collaborate with digital design, verification, and test engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Support the testing and validation of prototypes, including troubleshooting and debugging.
- Document design processes, simulation results, and technical specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve design practices.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s in any one of the following disciplines - Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, field is preferred.
- Master’s in any one of the following disciplines - Applied Electronics, VLSI Design, Communication
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in analog IC design.
- Fundamental understanding of semiconductor device physics.
- Strong understanding of analog circuit design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard EDA tools for analog and mixed circuit design, simulation, and layout (e.g. Cadence Virtuoso)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to learn and operate some Microchip specific internal software tools.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with modern process nodes (e.g., 55nm, 22nm).
- Knowledge of mixed-signal design and verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with layout techniques for matching, noise isolation, and parasitic management.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation for simulation flows is a plus.
