Job Description:
Microchip’s rapidly expanding Analog business is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to accelerate new product introductions. Based in Chandler, you will join the Mixed Signal and Linear Division Analog Product Engineering team and collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines within the New Product Development to validate, characterize, qualify, and release new devices into production.
Responsibilities:
Develop characterization and qualification strategies for new designs in partnership with the New Product Development team.
Help design, build, and debug test setups for final test, validation, characterization, and qualification of new products.
Interface with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues that are technical (fab, test, design related) and non-technical (supply chain, system related).
Create qualification and reliability plans to ensure product robustness and long‑term performance. Drive continuous improvement in product quality and cost while sustaining existing products.
Support failure analysis and customer returns by working with Applications, Design and Quality Engineering teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce costs on released products.
Monitor product line profitability and collaborate with subcontractors and factories to resolve manufacturing or yield issues.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 5–7.5 years of industry experience.
Solid understanding of analog circuit fundamentals and the IC development lifecycle from concept through manufacturing.
Strong analytical, project leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Hands‑on experience with bench laboratory equipment.
Familiarity with semiconductor device physics and processing.
Ability to read and evaluate design specifications and datasheets.
Preferred Skills:
Architectural knowledge of op amps, amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, and temperature sensors.
Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, PCB layout, Confluence, Jira, and MS Project.
ATE Test Development Knowledge
Knowledge of 6-sigma programs, 8D process, FMEA, SPC and formal problem-solving skills
