Position Title: Sr. Engineer - Hotbox
Department: HB Engineering.
The Bloom Energy Mumbai team seeks a highly motivated Engineer to support its Fuel Cell HotBox Engineering team. The HB Engineer will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team to improve the performance and manufacturability of current and future solid oxide fuel cell Hotbox technology across different product lines.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments to test components and processes from different aspects of the product life cycle, such as R&D, Quality, Reliability, Optimization, and more
- Run tests per protocol, collect data, and analyze results using statistics-based data analysis
- Supports high-priority projects and consolidates results for effective summary delivery
- Help discover new failure modes of HB components to improve the existing design
- Works closely with technician teams to coordinate floor activity
- Responsible for designing/delegating test fixture and co-ordinate with outside vendors for fabrication
- Identify and investigate any test equipment anomalies and offer/implement solutions
- Comes up with new and different processes for optimizing lab efficiency and reliability
- Familiarity with DFMEA and design review processes will be a plus.
- Use good judgment to plan and accomplish multiple goals safely and promptly properly
- Troubleshoot, conduct root cause investigation, and drive corrective action on emerging issues at suppliers
- Exposure to product design tools (Solid works) will be a plus for this role
Key Skills Required:
- Experience in diverse testing environments desired with demonstrated hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Exposure to fuel cell technology is desirable.
- Experience or course work requiring lab electronics (i.e. multimeter, borescope, Hi-Pot etc.)
- Good understanding of the structure and properties of engineering materials and metallurgy of metals
- Demonstrate good failure analysis and root cause analysis skills.
- Must be willing to do Hands-on testing on projects.
- Demonstrate a hard-working attitude and self-motivated.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Team player.
- Motivated self-starter, capable of organizing tasks with little to no oversight
- Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships; Ability to effectively participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
Education:
- BTech degree in Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy
- Master’s in mechanical/Metallurgy/Material Science will be a plus
Experience: Between 0 - 4 years of related experience in the field as mentioned above.
