We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer - Homologation. This position requires an experienced professional in vehicle homologation and especially Conformity of Production (COP). Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigour and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
The Role
• Lead Conformity of Production activities for global markets across Lucid Group, developing and improving process to ensure robust, fit for purpose systems are in place to maintain compliance
• Arrange and conduct COP tests and assessments according to the master schedule plan, compiling test reports and evidence
• Work closely and collaboratively with Lucid production facilities to ensure quality processes are being followed
• Lucid lead on market surveillance enquiries
• Monitor relevant global regulations, ensuring changes are communicated throughout the business to ensure on-going compliance of Lucid vehicles. Where required, participate in and influence working groups involved in developing regulations and standards
• Arrange, support and conduct physical tests that are part of the homologation process, creating compliance test reports and collating regulatory documentation
• Interface with technical services and approval authorities to deliver certification for required markets
• Work closely with vehicle design engineers, interpret regulations, offer expert opinions on design issues and justify and record the decisions
• Represent the company and interface with regulatory agencies and industrial peers
Qualifications
• Expert knowledge about regulatory requirements in different regions, with technical depth in key areas, such as range and efficiency testing, or electric vehicle safety
• Proven track record of success, e.g. having successfully delivered CoP programmes for a regulatory body or OEM
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details, e.g. clearly documenting all requirements, keeping records of internal and external discussions, highlighting the nuance of different interpretations
• Ability to articulate technical issues and solutions to all levels of the business, using oral, written and presentational mediums
Education
• Bachelor’s degree and above in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or other related fields
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. $133,400—$166,800 USD
