Responsibilities
- Design and develop road and highway alignments using MX Road, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
- Prepare engineering drawings, detailed designs, quantity take-offs, bills of quantities (BQ), and design reports.
- Develop practical, buildable, and cost-effective engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with technical standards and client requirements.
- Conduct site assessments, evaluate design options, and prepare preliminary design reports and cost estimates.
- Contribute to technical proposals, tender submissions, specifications, and engineering recommendations for new and ongoing projects.
- Review engineering drawings and design reports, providing technical recommendations to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support the preparation of contract documentation, including design revisions and construction drawings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor project progress, resolve design challenges, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, correspondence, and other project documentation.
- Maintain quality standards by ensuring all engineering deliverables are accurate, complete, and compliant with project requirements.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the HOD or Line Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 8–10 years’ experience in road and highway design, ideally with involvement in large-scale transportation infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience leading end-to-end highway design delivery, ensuring technical quality, constructability, and compliance with standards.
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills, leadership capability, and high attention to detail.
