Our Digital Workspace Platform (DWP) team at ResMed is dedicated to developing, supporting, and enhancing a comprehensive suite of endpoint, document management, unified communication, and identity management tools that directly impact over 12,000 ResMedians worldwide on a daily basis. We are a proactive and innovative team committed to optimizing systems, applications, and infrastructure to deliver productivity solutions. Our mission is to simplify the daily work lives of every ResMedian. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer, EDM to join a global team in managing and enhancing our document management portfolio These systems include Azure, SharePoint, O365 Teams, PurView The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to build and execute on the DMS roadmap ensuring scalability, enhancements and operational effectiveness of the systems.  

This role requires a strong background in technical document management systems, a strategic mindset, and the ability to effectively work with a cross-functional teams.  We value performance, simplicity and scalability in design, and this role will ensure user experience and security are built into the platforms.  

Let’s Talk Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute on the technical roadmap for DMS’s such as SharePoint, Teams and O365 products, aligning business needs with technical enhancements.  

  • Ensuring ongoing strategy and deployment alignment with the overall product strategy. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product features, enhancements, and technical requirements. 

  • Work and negotiate with Legal/Privacy/Security to ensure compliance policies are configured, maintained and updated to align with corporate standards and future direction.  

  • Integration of E5 licensing capabilities within the Azure space and design foundational workflows and automations. 

  • Formalize and drive a strategy surrounding unstructured data sets and document lifecycle management.  

  • Deliver playbooks and governance guidance to support content creators and business teams. Use these discussions to enhance Resmed global data policies.  

  • Prioritize initiatives, and communicate progress and updates, building with future state in mind and ease of use for all business functions. 

  • Build and provide technical guidance and expertise to the team to ensure successful implementation of product enhancements. 

  • Work with adoption and transformation team to understand impact, feedback, and adoption material needed.  

  • Ensure scalability, performance, and security of the document management systems, adhering to regulatory and compliance standards. 

  • Mentor a global team of technical experts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 

  • Provide guidance on industry best practices for Resmedians globally and support standardization and training initiatives.  

 

Let’s talk qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field. 

  • 5+ years progressive experience as a business or system analyst, designing Data Labelling and Data Retention Policies in Purview, gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing processes, and detailing specifications for both business and technical audiences. 

  • Demonstrated ability to be part of a global teams and drive product development from a technical perspective, with a users hat on. 

  • Experience working with Purview, labeling and Global policies.  

  • Experience in being in front of the business and working with Legal, Security & Privacy to help build for the end user, but keeping alignment to ensure a secure environment.  

  • Understanding of global regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to document management. 

  • Experience understanding risk management standard, ISO requirements, Data Privacy Standard (GDPR) and supporting audit functions when needed.  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 

  • Experience with agile methodologies and project mindset that does not mind working in the grey.  

  • Strong problem- solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
