Senior Engineer, Embedded Software
Job description
We are looking for an Embedded Systems Software Engineer to drive the integration of cutting-edge technology into consumer devices. The engineer will work on power and battery management software development, including driver/GUI development and system integration.
Responsibilities
As a software engineer, you will:
- Develop device drivers for ADI power/battery management ICs for mobile power applications.
- Design, implement, and verify algorithms/firmware for application processors or ICs.
- Develop and execute GUI or test benches for various target platforms including Linux and Windows.
- Optimize the execution time and memory footprints.
- Support system integration and troubleshooting.
- Plan project schedules and collaborate with internal/external contributors.
Basic requirements
- BS or MS in computer science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in embedded system software, RTOS, and Linux.
- Strong knowledge of C/C++
- Experience in Linux driver development
- Good knowledge of C# and Python
- Strong coding and debugging skills
- Understanding of I2C, SPI, and UART communication.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Recommended skillset
- Knowledge of power/battery management hardware and software.
- Experience managing small technical teams. Conflict resolution and resource management.
- Experience in mass production as a primary software developer for power/battery management ICs.
- GUI development experience.
- Familiarity with assembly language.
