We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our project team in Cameron, LA.
This position is based out of our Calcasieu Pass LNG 2 (CP2) facility located in Cameron, Louisiana.
This position will report to the Director of Engineering.
General Description Duties & Responsibilities
- Interface for all site switchgear, power controls technical alignment
- Provides input to weekly site engineering report
- Provides input to weekly site engineering report, E-house / power systems RFI Owner
- Inspect major arriving equipment and participate on walk downs, Inspect major arriving equipment and participate on walk downs
- Maintain log of scope transferred to site and participate in interface meetings between EPC and OFE contractors
- Assist with system turnover, review of MC’d systems, DFO tasks, PSSRs, etc.
- Assist commissioning team with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities as needed
- Participate in pre planning meetings and the related activities
- Validate completions matrix tags and systemized boundaries in advance
- Provides input to weekly site engineering report
Qualifications
Required experience
- Minimum 10 year’s experience working with electrical systems.
- Experienced with domestic and/or International electrical codes and standards. Including NEC, NFPA, NETA, and ANSI
- Familiarity with Power Systems Modeling Tools such as ETAP/SKM preferable
- Experience with:
- Switchgears (138kV, 4.16kV, 480V)
- Motor Control Centers (MCC)
- Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
- Transformers
- Energy Management Systems (EMS/SCADA)
- Electrical System Studies
Preferred Experience
- Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with specialization in Power Systems.
