Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Senior Engineer - Drainage to join our team in Doha, Qatar. You will be responsible for executing complex drainage system designs. This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure projects while contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
- Design, develop, and independently complete primary drainage system elements for engineering works, ensuring compliance with Qatar building codes and MME standards
- Gather, analyze, and correlate engineering data using established procedures and industry best practices to support project development
- Perform detailed hydraulic calculations, modeling, and testing to validate drainage system performance and efficiency
- Identify discrepancies in engineering results and propose analytical solutions using both standard procedures and innovative modifications
- Manage project timelines and budgets with minimal supervision, demonstrating efficient organization and decisive decision-making
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to entry-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to evaluate drainage requirements and develop comprehensive solutions
- Prepare technical documentation, design drawings, and reports using CAD software and industry-standard tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success
- Stay current with evolving drainage technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement
- Valid MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) professional engineering registration/license
- Qatar experience
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 12+ years of professional experience in drainage engineering or related infrastructure projects
- Proven expertise in drainage system design, hydraulic modeling, and analysis
- Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design tools
- Strong knowledge of Qatar building codes, regulations, and local environmental standards
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects within budget and schedule constraints
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience mentoring and supervising junior engineering staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Project management capabilities and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with site assessment methodologies and survey procedures
- Professional commitment to quality, transparency, and ethical engineering practices
