The PTP Platform is a leading-edge, cloud-based Securities Processing solution that provides trade lifecycle processing for a wide range of global financial institutions.

We are looking for an experienced greenfield software architect and developer to join a new team within our PTP software platform.  The candidate will work on strategic initiatives to develop integration and data migration strategies and tools to allow highly automated migration or integration between the PTP platform and legacy internal and external systems.

The candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be sharp and well-motivated and enjoy working in a flexible, agile environment.   Strong experience in data analysis and migration approaches alongside well-developed technical skills with migration tools is expected.

Responsibilities include

• Greenfield development with lots of freedom in terms of architecture and design
• End to end product development scope covering backend, UI and data
• Application of machine learning and AI where appropriate
• Interaction and cooperation with established development teams on target systems
• Work planning including accurate task breakdown and estimation
• Focus on quality and shipping working code to users in the most efficient timeframe on a continuous development basis
• Collaborate on code reviews and best practice within a small, agile, focused team
• Mentoring of more junior team members and assisting the Team Lead with the efficient running of the team

We’re looking for

• An analytical mind / approach to problem solving
• An ability to work proactively with minimal supervision
• Capacity to analyse and understand data flows and processes
• 7+ years of experience in a technical data integration, migration role or development role
• Strong software development lifecycle experience using one of Python, C# or C++
• Extensive experience of SQL databases and data transformation tools such as DataBricks or Snowflake
• Exposure to distributed systems beneficial (e.g. Kafka or similar message streaming technology, Service-driven architecture, data consistency)
• Relevant degree in a numeric discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Experience of financial markets and the trade lifecycle strongly beneficial
• Experience of, and a willingness to take ownership of the delivery of milestones within a team / area
• A willingness to get involved in the detail and to get the job done
• Excellent written and spoken English
