Job Summary:
As our Senior AI Engineering Lead, you will own the Greenfield development of our Agentic Governance Framework. You will be responsible for moving the needle from manual data stewardship to an autonomous ecosystem where AI agents identify, classify, and remediate data risks before they hit production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greenfield Agent Orchestration: Architect and build autonomous agents using Vertex AI Agent Builder and LangChain/LangGraph to automate Data Stewardship and First-Line Risk Management.
- Intelligent Classification: Develop and deploy LLM-based pipelines to automate data discovery and classification across our BigQuery and Cloud Storage environments, replacing manual tagging.
- Autonomous Data Quality: Design "Self-Healing" data loops where agents identify DQ issues, root-cause them through metadata analysis, and suggest or apply fixes.
- Risk & Records Automation: Expand the agentic framework into AI Risk Assessments (evaluating model bias/safety) and Records Management (automated retention and disposition logic).
- GCP Infrastructure: Leverage the full power of the Google Cloud stack (Dataplex, Dataflow, BigQuery, Vertex AI) to build scalable, production-grade governance codebases.
Qualifications:
- Education Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Senior Execution: 5+ years of experience in Data or Software Engineering, with at least 2+ years focused on AI/ML orchestration.
- Vertex AI Mastery (Preferred - Alternatives like AWS Bedrock acceptable): Deep expertise in the GCP Vertex AI suite (Model Garden, Agent Builder, Vector Search).
- Agentic Frameworks: Proven ability to build multi-agent systems that can "reason" through complex workflows (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI).
- Data Engineering Fundamentals: Strong SQL/Python skills and experience building data pipelines that handle massive enterprise-scale datasets.
- Governance Fluency: A clear understanding of what "Good" looks like in Data Quality, Data Privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and Records Management.
