We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer, Cloud Platform to join our Cloud Center of Excellence team. A successful candidate will work collaboratively with the team to automate and streamline our infrastructure and processes, develop and maintain tools for monitoring and compliance. A key part of the role involves implementing and testing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage cloud infrastructure in a descriptive model using tools like Terraform and Azure Policies for compliance and governance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code re-usable modules.
- Managing cloud-based resources and services, including implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Azure Policies.
- Ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies.
- Troubleshooting problems across a wide array of services and functional areas.
- Building and maintaining Azure policies for deployment and compliance

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years' experience with Azure, AWS or other cloud service providers.
- At least 5 years' experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- At least 5 years' experience with Azure Policies for compliance and governance.
- At least 5 years' experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as PowerShell, Python, Golang.
- Very good knowledge of DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Technical expertise in software development, IT operations, and DevOps tools and technologies.
OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS
- Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud certifications.
- Experience with software testing frameworks, such as Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
