Role Summary:

The Senior AWS Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions on the AWS platform.
This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, AWS networking, cloud architecture, and best practices to optimize performance, security, and cost-efficiency.

Key Qualifications:
 

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with development and maintenance using AWS services.
• Proficiency in core AWS Networking and AWS services (EC2, VPC, Lambda, EKS, MSK, S3, RDS etc).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must be able to write code.
• Should be able to pitch in and contribute with solutions/ideas to problems.
• Strong understanding of Terraform development and deployment.
• Should have experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Platform Engineering (Infrastructure as code) practices.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork abilities, and able to adapt in a diverse working environment.
• Proven and quantifiable track-record of success in delivering results within a large complex organization. 
• Good formal and informal communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Role Description:

• Cloud Architecture Design: Develop and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures using AWS services.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze system performance, making recommendations for improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency.
• Security Management: Ensure compliance with security best practices and policies, conducting regular audits and implementing necessary controls.
• Cost Management: Analyze cloud spending and identify opportunities for cost savings through resource optimization and effective budgeting.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and management, to align cloud strategies with business objectives..
• Work independently in a dynamic environment with multiple assigned projects and tasks. Development skills would be needed.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
