Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Engineer for ASIC validation to work with our next generation storage products.
You will take part in validating features of the cutting-edge storage controller in both pre and post silicon phases.
You will be part of Silicon Bring up along with Customer Issue Support of our next generation of storage products.
You will take part in ASIC design features validation, development of storage validation firmware, aiding SOC bring-up, ASIC and storage drive debugging.
Responsibilities
Pre and Post Silicon Validation of PCIe/SD/USB memory product with Host platforms from different OEM/Chipset vendors.
Failure Analysis of the issues to root cause whether it is the test issue or product issue
Understand the architecture and design. Come up with validation plan and execute to completion.
Understanding the test scenarios and converting them into test cases
Develop Validation firmware using C/C++ in multiple environments using latest standards: FPGA, Simulator, for flash products.
Understand Verilog flow of pre silicon drivers and evaluate simulation waves to understand and debug the controller design.
Perform tasks including SOC bring-up, features validation, ASIC and storage drive debugging utilizing inhouse and third-party tracers, analyzers, exercisers.
Be aware of available Compliance and interoperability procedures and explore relevant tools available to ensure comprehensive industry compliance.
Be able to implement/suggest automation ideas to speed up bring up and debug methodologies.
- Good Knowledge in any of the Electrical validation of the storage protocol - eMMC/USB/SD/SDIO/PCIE -
- Good Knowledge and hands on experience in scripting in C, Verilog and Python language -
- Good Knowledge and deep hands on experience in Failure Analysis to understand the Test and FW/Memory features. -
- Good knowledge in Test application development and performance measurement tool, etc.
- RMA support for the issues reported by the customer or field engineer.
- Status reports generation and presenting the validation status to Project and Program manager
- Validation of USB/eMMC memory product with Host platforms from different OEM/Chipset vendors
- Failure Analysis of the issues to root cause whether it is the test issue or product issue
- Participating in Customer meeting and understanding the Validation strategy.
- Understanding the customer test scenarios and converting them into test cases
Preferred:
- 2– 4 years of experience on validation and debug - Experience coding in C for SSD embedded system, Python for test automation is a plus.
- SSD firmware/validation experience in areas of: USB, SD, PCIe/NVMe, NAND and related areas .
