Key Responsibilities of the Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Molding Processes and Technology:
- Perform all duties compliant with TPI policies and aligned to TPI values of safety, operational excellence, commitment, integrity, and leadership.
- Collaborate with Technology, Quality, Customer teams, and Production teams to establish requirements and controls for manufacturing process improvements.
- Leverage TPI manufacturing readiness framework to establish manufacturing technology maturity and action plans.
- Develop and execute meaningful engineering test plans to evaluate and down-select new technology or methods for a production environment.
- Analyze, interpret, and summarize data to drive root cause corrective actions and technical decision-making. Apply statistical process control (SPC) and data analytics methods to monitor process performance, identify variation, and drive capability improvements across molding operations.
- Develop and communicate technical content effectively across all levels of the organization to deliver the intended message.
- Influence others based on sound engineering and data to ensure alignment of improvement efforts and targeted outcomes.
- Collaborate and mentor other engineers and associates in the design and manufacturing process.

Education and Experience
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required (fiberglass composites experience preferred).
Direct experience developing or optimizing composites molding processes strongly desired, including one or more of the following: mold preparation, gel coat application, fiber layup, resin infusion/cure, and bonding operations.
Experience with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques preferred.
Experience applying data analytics and statistical process control (SPC) to drive process quality and capability improvements preferred.
Familiarity with manufacturing automation technologies (robotics, automated layup, process control systems) preferred.
Experience with AI or machine learning tools applied to manufacturing process monitoring, anomaly detection, or predictive quality preferred.
