Senior Energy Analyst
Location: NJ Remote - candidates must be located in NJ
To support our strong growth, we are seeking a qualified candidate to provide Program Operations support as a Senior Energy Analyst for ICF’s energy efficiency division, supporting residential energy efficiency programs in New Jersey.
You will report to the East Region Senior Manager and work closely with a cross-functional team of program implementation, IT, and reporting personnel and external stakeholders. You will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple programs and projects across the northeast with all levels of staff. What you will be doing:
- Work as part of the Energy Efficiency team supporting the PSE&G Residential Program Portfolio to support the implementation and verification of Utility sponsored Program projects and ensure they are successfully executed
- Review weekly generated program invoices for accuracy of program participants to ascertain compliance of program calculations, policies and procedures
- Maintain effective communication with internal ICF Stakeholders and with the Client
- Develop analysis of monthly program accruals and forecasts for accuracy to maintain or exceed program QPIs/KPIs and reporting to the ICF Operations team
- Communicate with Program subcontractors to provide guidance and continuous improvement to achieve maximum program achievements
- Monitor program projects for compliance with developed QAQC program protocols and processes
- Monitor Requests for additional project spend, assess and periodically calculate overarching program averages against stated stipulated program caps for energy efficiency and Health & Safety project costs
- Implement corrective action required to address customer project deficiencies and work through resolutions with various stakeholders
- Become proficient in ICF Program based support systems, i.e. SLT, SSRS and SnuggPro. Training to be provided
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Analysis, Environmental Studies, Energy or related discipline (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
- 5+ years of relevant experience of energy efficiency, utility, data analysis and/or related experience
What we would like you to have:
- Must be experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with demonstrated experience in Excel
- Experience with SharePoint Lists, PowerBI, or Power Automate
- Advanced Excel skills such as Macros, Pivot Tables, Solver, VBA, etc
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
- Ability to synthesize information, think critically and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate and provide sound decision making to inform executive management
- Provide sound business ethics including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Exhibit sound decision-making skills and analytical abilities
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$72,402.00 - $123,084.00
