Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Employee Relations Consultant to join our UKI HR team on a 14 month fixed term basis in our Nottingham office.
As a Senior ER Consultant, you will partner with defined business areas and provide employment, change management and policy advice and support to ensure that the people, employment and legal risks are managed effectively.
You will partner with the HRBPs and business managers to manage employment implications of business line structural change, redundancy and TUPE projects as require, whilst also managing business-wide and cross-business projects and provide Employee Relationship leadership
You will lead on defined functional areas of expertise, ensuring compliance is achieved and take into account manager and employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with defined business areas to ensure ER support for delivery of People Plans including SWP.
- Manage complex and escalated ER cases of all case types across the UK&I business with minimal supervision
- Coach and advise managers up to Executive level on all ER aspects.
- Identify manager capability needs and work through ER Consultant to develop and deliver appropriate interventions enable managers to manage their people effectively and to comply with core HR processes - training/information availability
- Collaborate with HRBPs and wider HR Team in delivering business change – including redundancies, restructures, & TUPEs. Provide advice on legal requirements, and recommend approaches to ensure successful delivery of change whilst effectively managing employment risk.
- Lead relationship with Experian People Forum ensuring compliance with collective consultation regulations and engagement of the People Forum as a collective, supportive body for change.
- Drive continuous process improvement and identify opportunities for automation
- Liaise with ACAS on early conciliation for own and ER Consultant cases.
- Coach ER Consultant(s) to build their individual case management expertise across all types of ER cases so that they can effectively support managers and manage own cases in accordance with Company policies and procedures, and ensure legal compliance.
- Develop and review ER owned policy as required
- Manage the DSAR process to ensure compliance and resource management to deliver against regulatory timeframes
- Proven employee relations experience with experience advising on employment regulations and HR processes and services, and supporting the delivery of employment changes.
- Experience supporting organisation restructuring
- Strong understanding of employment law and regulations and change management
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to partner with different stakeholders and influence senior leaders.
- Experience developing line manager skills through coaching, training and mentoring
