Job Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer (P3)

Department: Customer Solution Enablement under Software and Security Group (CSE-SSG)

Job Summary: As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will spearhead the development of sophisticated embedded system software, encompassing device drivers, firmware, middleware, and applications. Your expertise will transform complex requirements into robust software designs, ensuring meticulous development, testing, and debugging processes. You will interpret hardware datasheets with precision to craft essential functionalities, setting the standard for excellence in embedded software engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software solutions based on technical requirements.
  • Review and approve pull requests, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices within the code repository.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering professional growth and development within the team.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather, elucidate, and validate software requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Generate comprehensive code documentation and user manuals, facilitating ease of use and maintenance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electronics/Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in embedded software development, including debugging for microcontrollers, microprocessors, and FPGA platforms.
  • Proficient in C/C++, Embedded Linux, and/or Hardware Description Language (HDL). Familiarity with Zephyr and Rust is advantageous.
  • Skilled in developing device drivers for embedded systems
  • Adept in software testing methodologies, version control systems, and agile development practices.

Competent in hardware-software co-debugging using tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
