All about the role:
As software is playing an increasingly significant role in enabling digital consumer experiences, we are gearing up to become more agile, faster in responding to market demands and quicker in identifying new market opportunities. This involves elevating our appliances to digital, software-defined products in a seamless integration of modular electronics, software, and connectivity platform.
We’re looking for a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer to join us on our journey.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to the development, optimization and maintenance of our platform based on a high performing System on Module running a Linux Embedded Operative System.
- Take responsibility of designing, developing, testing, documenting, and integrating high quality software modules.
- Work both independently, and together with others, to create solutions that are maintainable and well structured.
- Propose suitable solutions to user stories and requirements coming from different parts of the organization.
- Create a world class development environment for appliance software with a good balance between user obsession, creativity, scalability, development speed and cost efficiency.
- Work in an agile development process where you take own initiatives to solve prioritized issues.
- Spread your knowledge to your colleagues and try to help them as much as possible.
Who you are:
- You have solid knowledge of the embedded Linux architecture, general distribution and user-space application development;
- You have knowledge of Yocto recipe customization and can maintain and support the build system in a continuous integration environment.
- You have deep knowledge in the C programming language and can use python for tools and testing.
- You know how to develop thread safe applications in multi-threaded environments.
- You are familiar with RTOS developments and the challenges of development in such environments.
- You have knowledge about how to configure, do small modification and integrate the Linux kernel and the relative embedded boot loader(s). Experience in developing and debugging kernel drivers for Embedded Linux would be a plus.
- You understand the importance of cybersecurity in connectivity for embedded.
- You have deep understanding in agile development principles and have solid work experience from Scrum practices.
- You are familiar with Continuous integration tools, and Atlassian toolset: Jira & Confluence

Where you'll be:
This is a full-time position, based at our Global Headquarters in Stockholm/Stadshagen (Sweden) or in Forlì (Italy).
At our Global Headquarters in Stockholm/Stadshagen (Sweden) we are 60+ nationalities under the same roof and we enjoy the look and feel of the office!
Regardless of the chosen location, you will be part of a dynamic international team where English is the natural language.
