THE ROLE:  Senior Electrical Engineer

 

LOCATION:              Waukesha, WI

REPORTS TO:        Sr. Manager, Engineering

POSITION TYPE:    Full-time, Exempt

 

OUR OPPORTUNITY:

Design, test, integrate, and assist in the installation of small to large-scale electrical control systems. Utilize computer-aided design software to create and check designs and schematics from simple to complex. Apply electrical engineering principles with creativity, experience, and knowledge to solve the most complex problems. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and select proper electrical components for each design project. Compare costs and performance specifications to provide optimal value.
  • Serve as primary contact for resolving electrical problems during and after installation.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing to assemble and test electrical components and systems.
  • Utilize computer-aided design software to prepare the complete design and layout of control equipment, including bill of materials (BOM).
  • Provide complete design prints to outside vendors to fabricate control equipment and ensure the quality of control equipment built by the outside vendors.
  • Develop and maintains electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • Perform detailed electrical calculations and simulations to ensure product reliability and performance.

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Five years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Proficiency with 2D and 3D modeling and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of elevator industry safety requirements and elevator codes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical components, systems, and materials.
  • Advanced knowledge of PLC programming and control systems.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Current, valid driver’s license.
  • Travel up to 10% per year.
