Senior Electrical Engineer provides technical leadership and direction to onsite multi-skilled teams and vendors, specializing in the management of critical high-voltage, self-generation, and power storage systems. This role ensures strict adherence to safety and operational protocols while serving as the primary escalation point for electrical failures to guarantee infrastructure reliability and the achievement of all client KPIs.Job Description
About the Role:
- Lead electrical design and construction for new data centers and major upgrades, ensuring all systems meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
- Assess land suitability and site acquisitions by evaluating grid availability, utility capacity, redundancy strategies, and potential infrastructure constraints.
- Oversee the design and scaling of complex MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, and generators to support high-density environments and N+1/2N redundancy requirements.
- Serve as the primary technical interface between clients, consultants, and contractors to align design intent with execution and project milestones.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to facilitate seamless tenant onboarding and ensure all technical documentation is met for final handover.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Industrial Engineering, or Building Services from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of technical project management experience, specifically within mission-critical or data center environments.
- Deep knowledge of power distribution, UPS, generators, and redundancy configurations (N, N+1, 2N), including site due diligence and design development.
- Must hold a Chief Electrical Engineer license or equivalent, with a proven ability to manage contractors according to JIS, IEEE, and local technical standards.
