Job Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will work in a multi-disciplined team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects in the higher education, government, and commercial markets. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to be part of our strong growth.
General Duties
- Design electrical systems including lighting, and power
- Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
- Develop electrical system design calculations
- Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT
- Perform QA/QC design work
- Coordinate with Owners and Architects
- Coordinate work with other disciplines
- Complete code compliance research
- Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers
- Assist in the procurement of new work, including the development of client relations
Skills
- Proficient in Revit and MS Office
- Experience with complex institutional projects
- LEED experience, certification is desired
- Knowledgeable with codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Strong Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work
- Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years electrical design experience as registered engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer license, PE preferred
