Title:
Senior Electrical EngineerKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.
As part of the electrical engineering team you will be involved in the design of electrical systems for the oil and gas and/or power including renewable energies industries. This may be a conceptual study or front-end engineering design (FEED) or a design execution involving, the procurement of all equipment and detailed drawings for the construction and commissioning of an entire facility.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare load list, load calculations, cable sizing, earthing and lighting calculations including preparation of cable schedules and interconnection diagrams
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
- Prepare Material Requisition for various electrical items like Transformers, HV/MV/LV Switchgears, UPS, Cables, Electrical Bulks, AC/DC UPS etc, perform offer evaluation, TBE, vendor drawing review, attending FAT for all major electrical equipment / packages
- Technical review of mechanical packages including offer review, TBE, VDR and coordination for engineering interfaces
- Ability to perform / review complex engineering calculations including Power System Studies using ETAP/SKM
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Understand and implement relevant HSE aspects while performing assigned tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- 7 years of related experience with the average experience of 10+ years
- Ability to read and understand overall power distribution scheme and SLDs
- Good knowledge of electrical equipment like MV/LV Switchgears, transformers, UPS etc.
- Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications specifically: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word
- Good written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working in multi-cultural environment
- Working experience in ETAP / SPEL
