Littelfuse is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Solid-State Protection Systems team in San Sebastien, Spain. In this role, you will contribute to the development of next-generation protection and control products for AC and DC electrical systems. You will work across multiple disciplines to design, validate, and launch innovative solutions that combine power electronics, embedded control, and system-level protection technologies.
About the job:
Design and develop electrical circuits and subsystems for solid-state protection and control products.
Perform schematic capture, simulation, component selection, stress analysis, and PCB design reviews.
Collaborate with firmware engineers to define and implement system requirements.
Support laboratory evaluation, troubleshooting, and validation testing of AC and DC protection systems.
Participate in product qualification, reliability testing, and compliance activities.
Work closely with manufacturing and supplier partners to ensure product performance, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.
Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and project planning activities.
Support occasional travel to manufacturing sites, suppliers, or customer locations.
About you:
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
10+ years of experience in electrical product development.
Strong background in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
Experience working with microcontrollers, embedded systems, or programmable logic devices.
Understanding of power electronics, protection systems, and current sensing technologies.
Experience with schematic design, circuit simulation, and PCB layout.
Familiarity with EMC, safety, and product compliance requirements.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and drive technical decisions within project teams.
Nice to Have
Experience with industrial, energy, automotive, or power distribution applications.
Exposure to system-level architecture and requirements management.
Knowledge of smart protection, control, or monitoring solutions.
