The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior EC&I Engineer to join our growing Northwest team, based in Manchester, Chester or Leeds. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in the office.
You’ll bring experience working on multi‑discipline design projects within the Water sector, with additional experience in Industrial, Chemical, Power or Nuclear sectors considered highly advantageous. Ideally, you will be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with at least 5 years’ experience in an engineering design environment.
In this role, you will develop a range of design deliverables including Control Philosophy / FDS, SLDs, CBDs, schedules, loop drawings and cable calculations. You’ll also engage directly with clients, fostering strong working relationships and supporting ongoing business development.
What You Will BringQualifications, Technical Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline
- Chartered or working towards Chartership with a relevant professional body (IET)
- Strong technical knowledge across a variety of sectors
- Proven design management skills with a focus on client delivery
- Experience mentoring and supervising junior engineers and graduates
- Competent user of Microsoft Office, plus working knowledge of Trimble ProDesign and AutoCAD
Experience in any of the following is advantageous:
- HV design
- ATEX
- SIL design
- Strong client focus
- Excellent communication skills
