  • Provides technical expertise and support in various environmental, health and safety (EHS) disciplines with a concentration on environmental regulatory compliance.
  • Provides expert knowledge and advice to develop and support various environmental, health, and safety programs.
  • Initiates innovative EHS program solutions, designs, and development concepts.
  • Provides work product reports and conclusions periodically as required by Associate Director of EHS AMPD.
  • Assists with the management of relationships and performance of vendors, as needed.
  • Technical specialist to group and business level managers, as needed.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health and safety law and regulations and the ability to apply such knowledge to specific situations and design programs in compliance with such law/regulation.
  • Technical knowledge including but not limited to chemistry, biology, and environmental health.
  • Skill in managing various projects; must be able to use individual discretion in completing work assignments; while assisting the group in establishing priorities, setting standards and working collectively to accomplish deadlines and objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide professionally written reports in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of GMP compliance as it applies to assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge of and skill in using computer software and hardware applications, including Microsoft products and the Internet.

  • Responsible for coordinating activities with other departments including Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Validation, Quality Control, etc.
  • Ability to interface with customer personnel, auditors and regulatory authorities, as needed, to communicate on Environmental Regulatory Compliance and status of WPS maintained systems.
  • Reduces broad concepts, business strategies into structured projects. Leads the design/ delivery of new programs/ processes/ functional solutions; is the key technical contributor. Solves complex, high impact EHS program/ process design, implementation problems.

This position will report to the Associate Director of EHS AMPD.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental / Natural Science a plus.
  • 9+ years of EHS experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a regulated or GMP environment a plus.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $114,080.00 - $178,250.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
