The Role
You’ll join Spotify’s Editorial team within the Music Mission, working at the heart of how we connect emerging artists with listeners around the world. This role focuses on Fresh Finds—one of Spotify’s most impactful editorial programs, responsible for surfacing new talent and shaping the future of music discovery. You’ll collaborate across Editorial, Product, Marketing, and Data teams to grow the program and ensure it continues to champion the next generation of artists.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and organize our Fresh Finds playlist ecosystem - ensuring high quality, consistent work from all editors involved.
- Program key editorial playlist properties.
- Listen to new releases across genres.
- Field playlist submissions from across the Editorial team.
- Represent Editorial in all cross-functional work related to the program.
- Manage the development and distribution of the program on-platform.
- Work to build consumer understanding and demand for the program.
- Ensure that guidelines for the program are in place and followed.
- Read data to understand the value of the team’s work.
Who You Are
- 7+ years experience in music, ideally in an audience-focused role, is required.
- Passionate about new music and developing artists.
- Knowledgeable about current and past music trends.
- Experience creating and developing consumer strategy.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills.
- Deep understanding of Spotify and our Editorial team.
- Good communicator/team player who can easily work cross-functionally.
- The ability to comprehend and productively respond to analytics.
- Ability to travel when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Where You'll Be
- This role is based in New York, NY
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home
- We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week
The United States base range for this position is $94,000–$134,000 USD, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
