Position Overview

We are currently recruiting a Senior Ecologist to boost our Ecology Survey offering within our Natural Environment department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Ecologist to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The role will appeal to practically minded ecologists who enjoy a balanced mix of office and site-based work, engaging with clients, building long-lasting professional relationships and helping to preserve Irelands natural environment.


What You Will Do

  • Manage, plan and execute varied ecology surveys with support of experienced geospatial survey team and associated technologies (GPS, UAV etc.) when required.
  • Undertake technical feasibility studies and site investigations.
  • Understanding and application of field capture technology.
  • Handle, process, manage and interpret geospatial data through industry-leading GIS platforms.
  • Prepare quotations, tender bids and negotiate contracts.
  • Project Management.
  • Build client relationships.
  • Any other duties as required by the business.

What You Will Bring

  • Degree qualification in relevant field of study (e.g. Environmental Science)
  • Chartered Member of CIEEM.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the management of projects and delivering a client focused service.
  • Competence in but not limited to; all aspects of ecology surveys and report writing.
  • High standard of customer service.
  • The right to work in Ireland.
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients.
  • Possess a full clean Irish/EU Driving license
  • Practically minded: good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong report writing, communication and leadership skills.
