Role
The Senior Document Controller will manage and maintain all design-related documentation for projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution. This role is critical in supporting the design team by implementing robust document control processes and systems.
Responsibilities- Oversee document control activities for design projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.
- Manage the receipt, registration, distribution, and archiving of design documents and drawings.
- Maintain and update document control systems (e.g., Aconex, Asite)
- Ensure version control and proper tracking of revisions for all design documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely submission and approval of documents.
- Prepare and maintain transmittals, document registers, and status reports.
- Support audits and quality checks related to document control processes.
- Train and mentor junior document controllers as required.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in document control, with at least 5 years in design/document management within consultancy or engineering firms.
- Proficiency in document control software (Aconex, Asite)
- Strong understanding of design documentation standards and ISO requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
