Your Job:

As the Senior Director, Commerce and Product Solutions at Brooks Running, you will lead the strategic vision, execution, and operational support of the technology platforms that power our commerce channels, marketing capabilities, and product development lifecycle. This includes direct-to-consumer (DTC) platforms such as brooksrunning.com, Brooks-owned retail stores, and our business-to-business (B2B) commerce platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure our digital and physical commerce experiences are seamless, scalable, and aligned with our brand and business goals

Your Responsibilities:

Function/Team Leadership

  • Define and execute the technology roadmap for Brooks’ global commerce platforms, including DTC, B2B, and retail systems
  • Define a technology strategy and roadmap for unified commerce across selling channels with a key focus on building out a scalable Brooks owned store technology model that can scale for future growth
  • Lead the teams in support of digital commerce solutions that enhance customer experience and drive revenue growth including ecommerce and in store Point of Sale solutions
  • Partner with Marketing and Footwear and Apparel teams to deliver integrated technology solutions that support campaign execution, personalization, and product lifecycle management
  • Oversee the development and support of product information management (PIM), digital asset management (DAM), and product lifecycle management systems
  • Ensure systems scalability, performance, and security across all commerce and product platforms
  • Drive innovation in commerce technology, evaluating emerging tools and trends to enhance Brooks’ competitive advantage

Strategic Leadership and Execution

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business priorities and growth strategies
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution of major technology programs and platform upgrades
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the impact of commerce and product technology initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and accessibility standards across all digital platforms
  • Accountable for successful delivery of projects in portfolio of area responsible, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives 

Cross-Functional Influence and Alignment

  • Act as a strategic partner to Marketing, Product, Retail, and eCommerce teams to ensure technology solutions meet evolving business needs
  • Champion and act as a key sponsor for enterprise-wide initiatives that require alignment across IT, digital, and business functions
  • Represent Brooks at industry events and forums to stay current on best practices and innovations in commerce and product technologies

People Leadership

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills rooted in Brooks leadership principles
  • Promote Brooks’ Core Cultural Values: Responsible for team culture and keeping a pulse on morale to proactively address any concerns, utilizing the findings of Cultural Strengths Surveys to build on successes and prioritize and create a plan for opportunities
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead function(s) not in your area of expertise
  • Lead a high-performing team of IT professionals across commerce, marketing, and product technology domains
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Prioritize people investment as much as business management by building a collaborative, open, trusting environment for employees and creating a culture of authentic recognition and giving thanks
  • Regularly check-in and assess team morale, asking for feedback from employees and partnering with IT leadership and/or HR to address any concerns
  • Model leadership behavior across the organization and build leadership capability across the team
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diverse perspectives 

Accountability

  • Manage the annual budget for the Commerce and Product Solutions team
  • Hold team accountable for department and cross-functional deadlines and deliverables; establish clear “by-whens” and guide navigation of any obstacles
  • Set high standards for your team to deliver results for the brand and the business
  • Maintain vendor relationships and oversee contract negotiations for key technology platforms and services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in directing, managing and developing high performance teams
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams, inspire others, and provide effective mentorship
  • Proven leadership capabilities to supervise a team and lead strategic business objectives with a proven ability to prioritize workload and manage short-term and long-range projects
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable global commerce and product technology solutions
  • Strong direct experience with global branded retail store technology
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud), retail systems (POS, OMS), and B2B commerce tools
  • Experience with marketing technology stacks (e.g., CDPs, DAMs, CMS) and product development tools (e.g., PLM, PIM)
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change and drive digital transformation

Compensation: The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $200,816 - $321,368 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Paid Time Off- Brooks offers generous time off including five weeks of paid time off, eleven paid holidays, paid sick and parental leave.
Bonus-in addition to base pay, Brooks employees may also be offered an annual bonus based on company performance.
Perks- including product discounts, employee recognition, fitness discounts, volunteer and donation benefits.

Location- You will spend at least 3 days per week in our Seattle offices, as we believe our organization flourishes when connections, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and celebrations happen in person.
