Position Summary:

Directs the overall program management of the external visibility function for the CTO, engaged in technical and/or non-technical innovation portfolios throughout the organization. This is a top-level management role responsible for external visibility, technical engagement, and assisting the CTO in shaping the overall technical cultural of the organization.

This position is heavily DoD-oriented, focusing on innovation, industry engagement, and market outreach rather than traditional IT operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the technology market as a vehicle for outreach and capability enhancement. This strategic role requires a focus on technical capabilities, a drive to achieve a culture of innovation, and a passion for strategic engagement with our customers and the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term vision for the program, ensuring alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) mission objectives and innovation goals.

  • Industry Engagement & Outreach: Lead high-level engagement with industry partners and the commercial technology market. Utilize market intelligence to identify emerging technologies and potential partnerships that enhance program capabilities.

  • Program Management: Oversee external visibility program aligned to CTO vision with engagement across the leadership of the organization.

  • Innovation Integration: Bridge the gap between commercial technology advancements and government requirements. Focus on the application and outreach aspects of technology rather than technical IT implementation.

  • Operational Oversight: Direct involved with CTO and organization leadership to ensure program execution. Focus on high-level strategy, driving culture, and ensuring overall delivery of the program.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Remote

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%

  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) is required.

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 18+ years of functional and technical innovation experience in related areas (Defense, Innovation, Acquisition, or Strategic Growth); At least 12 years of specific functional or technical innovation experience.

  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience navigating the DoD ecosystem, with a strong ability to translate commercial technology market trends into government engagement strategies.

  • Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business (MBA)

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility

  

Basic Compensation: 

$220,800.00 - $331,200.00

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. 

  

Additional Compensation: 

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
