The Strategic Finance team partners closely with leadership across the company to drive financial clarity, operational discipline, and long-term growth. The team sits at the center of the business, connecting strategy, planning, and performance.
About the Position:
Cardlytics is seeking a Senior Director, Strategic Finance & Corporate Development to serve as a strategic finance partner to leadership and help shape the company’s financial direction. This role will play a key part in delivering financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving planning processes across the business.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance & FP&A, this individual will support the company’s budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial performance analysis. They will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to provide actionable insights, support executive and Board reporting, and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the company’s long-term growth and financial objectives.
You will:
Partner with the CEO, CFO, and executive leadership to provide financial insights that inform strategic decision-making
Lead the ongoing build-out and refinement of the corporate financial model to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
Prepare materials and support quarterly and ad hoc reporting for executive leadership, the Audit Committee, and the Cardlytics Board
Partner with Accounting, Investor Relations, and business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting and support external communications
Mentor members of the Strategic Finance team while fostering strong financial rigor and business partnership
Build financial models and business cases to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and growth opportunities
Identify opportunities to improve financial planning processes, reporting, and decision-support capabilities through automation and best practices
Support a strong control environment by partnering with Accounting to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
Develop and own financial models, valuation analyses, and business cases to support investment decisions and strategic transactions.
Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry opportunities to inform long-term growth strategy.
Develop business cases and financial analyses to support capital allocation and long-term strategic decision-making.
You have:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
8-12+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles and a background in investment banking
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build and maintain complex spreadsheets and financial models
Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
Experience presenting to C-level executives, board members, and external stakeholders
You are:
Experienced in a public company environment and familiarity with SEC reporting requirements
Knowledgeable of the broader software and technology landscapes
Experienced with International finance, particularly in working with global teams and cross-border financial operations (a plus)
Technical Environment
We primarily use macOS and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides). While our preferred platform is macOS, we support both macOS and Windows. Familiarity with or willingness to work within this environment is required.
