We are looking for an innovative leader to join our R&D leadership team as the Senior Directot of Software Solutions. 

As the Senior Director of Software Solutions, you will manage a large and diverse R&D – Software Solution team comprising 5 direct reports and over 150 employees. You will be reporting to the Chief Research & Development Officer (CR&DO) and will set the R&D strategic direction for our customer facing software solutions across the Hearing and Enterprise divisions. 

You will lead our efforts to design and deliver innovative software applications to enhance our industry leading products across hearing aids, headsets and video collaboration bars. Based on your profound software experience, you champion a customer-centric mindset, collaborative approach and agile practices to deliver excellent customer experiences across our hardware and software domains.  

You would step into a role where your efforts will impact the industry and contribute to the technological enrichment of lives worldwide. At GN, we're not just developing products—we're crafting experiences that unite people and technology.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Align R&D strategy and priorities with targets set by different departments to ensure a cohesive approach to software development. 

• Be a valued partner for the business to align digital strategy and further accelerate the transformation at GN from a hardware-centric to a software-enabled company. 

• Build an effective software competency center, acting as a partner to business units and product management in conceptualizing and developing digital solutions and business models that meet customer expectations throughout the product lifecycle. 

• Deliver digital solutions and experiences, optimizing value, time-to-market, efficiency, cost, and quality, while delivering against product and experience roadmaps. 

• Identify and initiate opportunities for standardizing software modules and services across our solution portfolio. 

• Optimize the use of core technology and infrastructure (e.g., cloud computing, IoT, AI) to support effective software development and delivery. 

• Promote agile practices and continuous improvement in software development processes, standards, and best practices. 

• Encourage a focused culture of customer centricity, empowerment, and accountability, opening solutions to customers outside the organization. 

• Enhance the use of technology infrastructure to support software development and digital services 

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and initiate transformation initiative 

Qualifications: 

• Extensive experience in software development and management, with proficiency in managing large teams. 

• Extensive knowledge of software architecture, cloud applications, and the integration of software and hardware solutions. 

• Profound experience with agile software practices and frameworks like Scrum, SAFe and DevOps. 

• Exhibited ability to set strategic direction and implement transformation initiatives. 

• An innovative mindset with a vision to elevate software solutions within the organization. 

• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate productively with internal stakeholders.
