We are looking for a Senior Director, Segment Sales to work with our Sales team in Shanghai or Beijing. This is an amazing opportunity to work on IP related products and solutions of Clarivate. The team is reporting to the VP, Segment Sales. We would love to speak with you if you have skills in frontline sales and sales management.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

•    Master’s degree plus at least 10 years’ related sales leadership experience in a comparable industry and/or to a comparable customer base, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
•    Minimum of 7 years’ experience negotiating large-scale, complex, and high-value contracts.
•    Extensive new business development experience, with a strong focus on acquiring new customers (new logos) rather than managing existing accounts.
•    Ability to develop a deep understanding of Clarivate’s strategy, solutions, and client base to successfully execute in your region.
•    Front-line leadership experience, personally leading key deals while overseeing team execution.
•    Leads regional meetings; participates in strategic planning & sales leadership meetings.
•    Strong pipeline generation discipline, with a history of consistently building pipeline coverage beyond quota requirements.
•    Strong forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and planning skillset with ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile and draw meaningful conclusions and action plans from data.
•    Proven experience using Salesforce and the Microsoft Office suite of products
•    Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and demonstrated success managing in a matrixed environment
•    Excellent organizational skills, with ability to mobilize resources across a matrixed organization to reach shared goals.

What will you be doing in this role?
•    Developing. Own and drive new logo acquisition in China, with a strong focus on opening untapped markets and strategic accounts.
•    Overseeing. Oversees Account Managers in developing and sustaining key relationships to maximize revenue and business opportunities, participating in negotiations as appropriate.
•    Overseeing. Oversees complex deals, assessing financial considerations, support infrastructure, margins, impact on territory and other relevant factors.
•    Hiring. Hires, manages, motivates, coaches, and develops a high performing Account Management team and holds team accountable against performance goals, including setting targets, defining sales methodology, and coaching for performance.
•    Working. Collaboratively working with product leadership and marketing leaderships to create and shape new product development, assist with go to market strategy and product enhancements.
•    Leading. Leads regional sales meetings; participates in strategic planning & sales leadership meetings. Track record of leading from the front, personally driving key deals while simultaneously building and coaching a sales team.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
