Job SummaryCerrowire is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Sales to lead our Home Depot channel and drive continued growth in one of our most critical customer relationships. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this highly visible role will serve as the executive leader for the Home Depot account team, managing the overall strategy, execution, and performance of the channel.
The Senior Director will own the P&L for the Home Depot business, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are achieved while building strong, value-based partnerships with key stakeholders at all levels of Home Depot. This role will oversee a team of Account Managers and Inside Sales personnel based in our Kennesaw, GA office, while partnering cross-functionally with Strategic Sales & Analytics, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance to deliver seamless customer success.
Key Leadership Deliverables- Channel Strategy & Ownership: Define, own, and execute annual and long-range strategic operating plans to deliver top-line growth and margin expansion across the Home Depot channel.
- Customer Engagement & Partnership: Serve as the senior point of contact for The Home Depot, cultivating deep executive relationships with merchants, replenishment, logistics, and transportation partners to ensure Cerrowire is positioned as a preferred supplier.
- Financial Stewardship: Act as P&L owner for the Home Depot channel. Lead daily pricing strategies tied to copper fluctuations, perform monthly financial reviews, and ensure margin discipline.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Align and mobilize cross-functional partners—including Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance—around customer requirements, ensuring flawless execution and delivery.
- Team Development & Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team. Foster a culture of accountability, professional growth, and customer-first execution.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, or related field preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 5 years managing a large national retail account. Home center or hardware retail experience strongly preferred (Home Depot, Lowe’s).
- Proven track record of achieving aggressive revenue and profitability targets in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
Technical & Analytical Proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and business case development.
- Expertise in analyzing POS, inventory, and forecast data to drive fact-based decisions.
- Strong PowerPoint/Outlook skills for developing and delivering compelling executive-level presentations
Leadership & Strategic Acumen
- Demonstrated success leading large, complex accounts with accountability for both top-line growth and margin expansion.
- Prior experience managing and developing high-performing sales teams in a retail or channel-driven environment.
- Strong ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at the executive level.
- History of thriving under pressure, driving change, and capturing new opportunities.
Communication & Soft Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for building trust-based partnerships with retail executives.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Executive presence with a collaborative, inclusive leadership style.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 30% for customer meetings, trade shows, and internal team engagements.
Location Requirement
- This role is based in Kennesaw, GA and requires residency in the Atlanta metro area.
