THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
- You will set the vision for and drive a sales strategy focused on helping Brightseed achieve its full potential, exceed sales quotas, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through tactical and strategic selling.
- Foster strong relationships and drive business growth with key customers and prospects managing contracts, and identifying new sales opportunities.
- Partner closely with Marketing to generate leads, enhance brand activity, and execute regional and national trade shows and events.
- Develop and execute strategic business development, sales, and pricing plans, aligning with company goals, expanding market share and ensuring a realistic sales pipeline.
- Identify and qualify new potential customers leveraging your existing network as well as expanding beyond through your own proactive outreach.
- Build trust and partner with R&D, Marketing, and Product Management with the spirit of customer centricity and continuously identify cross-selling opportunities, optimize channel contracts and customer investments.
- Assist leadership in analysing and summarising key business elements; Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED
- 15+ years of experience in B2B functional ingredient sales, with a minimum of 3-5 years of management experience.
- Deep familiarity with nutritional commercialization in the health and life sciences sectors.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and leading teams to achieve ambitious targets.
- Experience in the B2B sales environment with proficiency in CRM systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in pricing strategies, including executing price adjustments and making informed pricing decisions.
- Strong proficiency in maintaining and utilizing opportunity pipeline reports.
- In-depth knowledge of products, services, competitors, and company-wide marketing plans and promotions.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business and account plans in collaboration with Account Executives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- 30%-40% travel mainly in North America.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at time.
COMPENSATION
- This role is positioned between a Director and Senior Director.
- The potential salary range for this position, when annualized, is $185,000 - $250,000.
- The total target compensation includes a base salary and commission based on the achievement of goals and milestones established by the Company.
- Compensation for this position is commensurate with relevant qualifications and work experience, academic credentials, job related skills, employment location and other factors.
