THE OPPORTUNITY
Silvus is seeking a full-time Senior Director of Sales, USA to join our Sales team reporting to the Vice President of Sales. This position is eligible for 100% remote work depending on location.
The Senior Director of Sales, USA will work directly with the VP of Sales and will be uniquely focused on increasing sales of Silvus’ MIMO-MANET products within the US Military, Unmanned Systems, Law Enforcement, Public Safety, and Commercial markets. This position will oversee, coordinate, and directly contribute to the work of our US Sales Team as they continue to grow and evolve.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic planning for team (5-year outlook).
- Resource budgeting and planning for team.
- Co-develop policies/procedures/initiatives for sales and BD departments.
- Implement and enforce policies/procedures/initiatives for sales and business development departments.
- Lead and manage team and supervise US Sales Directors on a day-to-day basis. including:
- Weekly meetings.
- Handling compensation, performance, reviews, and personnel matters.
- Mentoring team members to ensure they have the skills necessary to succeed.
- Listening to - and advocating for – team members to ensure they have the resources and support they need to succeed.
- Direct involvement in key programs and pursuits where appropriate.
- Regular and comprehensive review of team's pipeline, providing advice to help close deals.
- Helping team prioritize their time and efforts to ensure optimal use of our finite resources.
- Monitor leading and lagging performance metrics of direct reports; coach, counsel, and if necessary, take corrective action to ensure the team is ‘firing on all cylinders.’
- Handle matters escalated by Directors. For matters that need to be escalated to VP, provide Courses of Action and make a recommendation.
- Attend trade shows within swim lane.
- Manage industry relationships that cross multiple Director swim lanes (i.e. major government primes who may have activities across multiple branches of service and/or market verticals).
- Identify, train, equip, and utilize strategic partners.
- Engage program offices and influencers within swim lane (i.e. PM UAS for Unmanned Systems, C5ISR for ARMY emerging communications technologies, JTNC for NAVY shipboard communications, etc.).
- Help manage some of the team’s strategic BD efforts (future year revenue) allowing the front-line Sales Directors to focus on current FY revenue.
- Support and oversee sales proposals and RFI responses being led by their directors.
- Maintain awareness of competitors, customers, and industry organizations via social media, print media, newsletters, keyword alerts, and word of mouth.
- Travel: may require up to 1 - 2 weeks of travel per month.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of demonstrated experience leading a sales team in military/government markets within defense or a technology related industry; OR High School Diploma/GED with military service plus 12 years of experience leading a sales team in military/government markets within defense or technology related industry.
- Knowledge of military C2, C5ISR, EW, SIGINT applications.
- Military/aerospace industry and acquisition experience.
- Experience leading all phases of business capture (whitepapers, proposals, RFI/RFP response, teaming, strategic positioning, etc.).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
- Prior US DoD service with Colonel rank or above.
- Sales leadership/management experience within MANET technology or related fields.
- Experience with program management.
- Currently hold US Government clearance at SECRET level; OR has the ability to obtain a SECRET US Government security clearance within 12 months of the start date.
NOTE - Compensation: $180,000 - $240,000 annual base salary plus commission (OTE potential $260k - $400k)

The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
