Job Description
The Professional Services Procurement Lead (Senior Director) will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement of professional services across the organization. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic guidance to optimize the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for professional services, including consulting, tax, audit, accounting, banking, legal, and insurance.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic guidance.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance to senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on professional services.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- This is a hybrid role with in-office expectations of at least 10+ days per month. A strong onsite presence is necessary, candidates must be locally based within a reasonable commute to Takeda's Cambridge, MA offices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
- Experience in a global or multinational organization.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$205,100.00 - $322,300.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
