Position Summary:

Milliman MedInsight is seeking a Senior Director, Product Strategy to lead and manage the Product Strategy team with a primary focus on execution, portfolio management, and successful go-to-market for new and existing product lines. This is a player coach role: a hands-on operator who can set clear priorities, coach best practices, and help the team deliver outcomes—while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, General Managers, and go-to-market functional partners.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role will strengthen how MedInsight evaluates, launches, and scales products by building operational rhythm and clarity across the portfolio. The Senior Director will be accountable for turning strategy into execution: clear deliverables, clean handoffs, measurable outcomes, and disciplined prioritization.

This role requires a leader with significant experience in product delivery, a proven record of influencing senior executives and peers, and a strong drive to exceed organizational targets and accelerate market success. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being close to the work, can influence and unblock across teams, and can build trust through clarity, follow through, and pragmatic decision-making. The Senior Director, Product Strategy is accountable to:

  • Act as a strategic partner to product line General Managers to evaluate and test long-range product strategy, leveraging solutions research, market insights, audience analysis, and competitor assessments at an enterprise scale.
  • Lead and manage a small, high impact Product Strategy team; provide hands-on coaching, shared standards, and clear accountability.
  • Own portfolio management for Product Strategy: prioritize, sequence, and focus effort on the highest value initiatives; drive tradeoffs and decision discipline to fulfill annual MedInsight
  • Strategic objectives and support robust market growth in each product line.
  • Drive new product go-to-market execution in partnership with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Client Success—ensuring launches hit revenue targets.
  • Establish a repeatable commercialization playbook (value prop, pricing input, enablement, readiness checks, success metrics, postlaunch learning loops).
  • Serve as a senior cross functional partner who can clarify ownership, remove blockers, and keep execution moving across teams.
  • Oversee product commercialization metrics and KPIs, establish key benchmarks, and evaluate go-to-market performance in partnership with product line General Managers.

What you will bring:

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, product commercialization, or related roles, with demonstrated success in bringing new products to market.
  • Experience operating as a coach: leading a team while staying hands-on in execution, decision-making, and cross functional delivery.
  • Strong portfolio and prioritization discipline, including comfort making tradeoffs and stopping low value work.
  • Proven ability to partner across Product, Engineering, Finance, and GTM functions to drive alignment and execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence without relying on formal authority alone.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SaaS commercialization experience (B2B) and familiarity with healthcare payer and provider markets.
  • Experience building operating models, team standards, and playbooks that improve execution at scale.
  • Experience building analytical products

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.

What makes this a great opportunity?

  • Join an innovative, high growth company with a solid industry track record
  • Bring your expertise and ideas to directly impact and help build the next generation of MedInsight products and solutions
  • Enjoy significant visibility in your work and be recognized for your wins
  • Work for a company that values your wellbeing and professional growth, offering a flexible work environment, generous benefits package, and investment in the development of your career
