About the role


As Senior Director Product Management, your mission is to lead and influence Lovepop to ensure that we are consistently and reliably delivering the right solutions for our customers to help them find the right product for their special person. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, empathizes with customers, and has experience working with engineering teams in a small to medium size startup company. You will need to constantly look for optimization areas, work with marketing and tech on implementing the roadmap, track progress and define how we scale. The ability to influence, analytical ability, strong tracking/monitoring capabilities, exceptional communication skills and leadership are essential to succeed in this role.

Accountabilities

  • Own the prioritization of all projects related to Lovepop Tech: Defines new products with high quality that raises the bar and drives alignment across multiple business and technical stakeholder teams. Scopes large projects and communicates to senior leadership (SVP and ELT) project scope issues and risks. Builds a cohesive product vision for both long-term and short-term product strategy/plans across a product or suite of products. Build scalable mechanisms to ingrain product thinking into the broader set of stakeholders across the organization.
  • Build strong relationships between technology and the stakeholder that we serve. Interact closely with the Lovepop business teams to identify/manage critical projects. Leads and coordinates design & implementation efforts between tech and business teams to develop optimal solutions for the prioritized projects. Works with business owners to validate assumptions and asks questions to fill in knowledge gaps to ensure that the correct features are being built for our customers.
  • Owns the execution of projects: Managing feature delivery timelines and communication with leaders and stakeholders on status, risks, and changes. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. Anticipates and evaluates risks and makes trade-offs to deliver products that scale, quickly.

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years Online DTC Experience: Lovepop is an online card selling company and the person filling this role needs to have extensive experiences in innovating and delivering projects that have improved the purchasing process, browse experience and other parts of the online experience. The successful candidate for this position must have direct ownership experience in Online DTC processes and not just worked in an Ecommerce company.
  • 10+ Years of Product Management Experience: This role will play a very critical part in driving the success of executing initiatives and projects in Lovepop. This person will be expected to immediately be impacting our roadmaps by working with the Executive Leadership team (ELT) and other senior leaders to understand existing priorities but also shape new priorities including ones we might not have thought about.
  • Experience in a Fast Pace and Sometime Ambiguous Environment: Lovepop is at the forefront of learning to sell cards online. We move fast to try new ideas and adapt quickly to the needs of our customers. The person in this role needs to drive projects to be delivered quickly, accurately measure the impact and adapt to the results.
  • Think Outside the Box: Selling greeting cards online requires new thinking about how to serve our customers the best. This role requires a person to think about how we develop new experiences for the customer to create the right card for their special person.
