This leader partners closely with Operations, Critical Facilities, Design and Construction, Security, Risk and Compliance, and IT data teams to translate operational needs into scalable technology roadmaps. The role requires practical knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure and the risks of making changes in always-on, mission-critical environments.

OT Platform Strategy and Operations
  • Lead the strategy, architecture, administration, integration, and lifecycle management of DCIM, SCADA, EPMS, and BMS platforms across the global portfolio.
  • Establish enterprise standards for OT architecture, tagging, redundancy, network segmentation, access, cybersecurity, testing, and change control.
  • Maintain the OT technology roadmap, including platform consolidation, upgrades, capacity planning, and end-of-life risk management.
  • Partner with Design and Construction to incorporate OT standards into new builds, expansions, and commissioning.
Event Intelligence, Telemetry, and Analytics
  • Lead the architecture for event and alert intelligence, including alarm rationalization, prioritization, correlation, noise reduction, and escalation.
  • Integrate OT monitoring with enterprise incident management, notification, and ticketing platforms, using incident findings and field feedback to improve performance.
  • Partner with Telemetry, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to establish scalable telemetry, historian, and data standards.
  • Support operational analytics, including anomaly detection, capacity forecasting, and predictive maintenance, with appropriate validation for mission-critical use.
Operations Partnership and Governance
  • Serve as a senior IT partner to Operations and Critical Facilities leaders, translating reliability requirements and operational risks into technology priorities.
  • Report clearly on OT platform health, incident trends, system risks, lifecycle needs, and investment priorities.
  • Partner with Security, Risk, and Compliance on OT controls, risk mitigation, audits, disaster recovery, business continuity, access, patching, and third-party risk.
  • Represent OT systems in applicable reliability, capacity planning, change management, and technology governance forums.
Leadership and Vendor Management
  • Lead and develop the OT systems engineering, platform administration, and event intelligence team.
  • Establish appropriate support, escalation, and coverage models for a 24x7 critical infrastructure environment.
  • Manage the OT systems budget, vendors, systems integrators, contracts, statements of work, licensing, and platform investments.
  • Build sustainable operating practices, documentation, team capability, and succession plans.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 12 or more years of progressive experience in operational technology, critical infrastructure systems, data center technology, industrial control systems, or a related field, including at least five years leading technical teams, programs, or functions.
  • Experience with DCIM platforms and SCADA environments supporting EPMS, BMS, or comparable critical infrastructure systems.
  • Practical understanding of data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure, redundancy, capacity constraints, maintenance risk, and live-site change management.
  • Experience with OT architecture, integration, lifecycle management, resilience, cybersecurity, telemetry, historians, event or alarm management, and operational analytics.
  • Experience operating in a mission-critical, 24x7 environment where uptime, safety, change control, and reliability are essential.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into technical strategy and communicate technology, reliability, and risk matters to senior leaders.
  • Experience managing technical teams, vendors, integrators, budgets, contracts, or large-scale technology investments.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%, with some international travel required.
Preferred
  • Experience with leading DCIM, SCADA, EPMS, BMS, event management, or OT historian platforms.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, DNP3, or OPC UA and OT security practices such as network segmentation, the Purdue Model, or IEC 62443.
  • Experience with time-series databases, streaming technologies, data lakes, or other platforms supporting OT telemetry and analytics.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks applicable to data centers or critical infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting a multi-site, international, or globally distributed data center portfolio.
