Job Overview

The Senior Director of Occupancy Planning and Management serves as a strategic leader and trusted advisor who transforms complex real estate challenges into actionable solutions that drive measurable business value for JLL's enterprise clients. In this high-impact role, you will lead a team to deliver world-class occupancy planning strategies, from developing sophisticated blocking and stacking plans to presenting executive-level portfolio recommendations. As the subject matter expert bridging client relationships and cross-functional JLL service lines, you will leverage cutting-edge data analytics, emotional intelligence, and industry thought leadership to optimize real estate portfolios, maximize space utilization, and support transformative business initiatives. This position directly contributes to JLL's mission of shaping the future of real estate by ensuring our clients achieve their business ambitions through innovative, sustainable, and financially astute space solutions.

This role is based in San Antonio, Texas and has 4 day per week onsite policy.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Client & Stakeholder engagement

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Tactical Operations Oversight for both Occupancy Planning and Space Data Insights Teams

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all matters related to Occupancy Planning and Space Data Insights

Required Qualifications:

  • 7 – 15 years of experience in corporate environment, with space / occupancy planning and space data management at the strategic level

  • Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to consolidate data and floor plans into PowerPoint presentations

  • Proficiency in CAFM/IWMS software

  • Structured approach to problem-solving with natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics

  • Exceptional communication skills with excellent active listening abilities

  • Ability to assess problems, analyze information from multiple perspectives, and develop logical and innovative solutions

  • Commercially and financially astute

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Proficiency in Nuvolo CAFM software

  • Critical thinking with ability to tell a story through data

  • High emotional intelligence to recognize and understand emotions of team members and colleagues

  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

  • Exhibits managerial courage in directly handling performance issues

  • Actively supports career development and creatively challenges team members

  • Strong organizational and planning skills
