As a senior leader within OptumRx's Network Pricing team, you'll facilitate our department in being able to set effective drug pricing within our client & provider networks to meet pharmacy contract guarantees through the development of scalable, analytical, econometric and user-friendly tools. Coupled with this, you will be accountable for understanding & identifying forward-looking opportunities in our pharmacy network spend & contracting, investigating the potential for new & innovative ways of driving value for both our company and the members we serve each day.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of analytics & business experts focused on managing performance across our pharmacy provider network
  • Develop & maintain the strategic vision for how we can drive greater optimization & efficiency in how we adhere to our pharmacy network arrangements
  • Ability to pivot from detailed planning to high level updating to senior leadership, as required
  • Develop & maintain solid relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, with particular emphasis on Finance, Network, Legal & Tech partners
  • Lead the business on understanding the implications of future business growth &/or regulatory changes on supply chain value & provider agreements, in close partnership with Underwriting teams
  • Implement governance processes for prioritization, backlog intake, SLA's and status reporting
  • Influence senior &/or executive leadership decisions that impact business direction on pharmacy pricing initiatives
  • Support in broader Ireland OptumRx growth opportunities

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in a numerical subject (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics)
  • Proven experience managing teams of teams
  • Proven experience in financial forecasting
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in environments characterized by change and ambiguity
  • Demonstrated exemplary communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple levels and disciplines
  • Proven experience leading analytics projects, with accountability to senior management stakeholders
  • Demonstrated solid business acumen, with the ability to understand how AI/ML solutions can help mitigate or minimize operational challenges
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation, experimentation, and delivering meaningful impact

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's or PhD in a technical discipline
  • Proven experience with advanced analytical modeling, time series forecasting, and/or data science
  • Proven experience working with large volumes of transactional data
  • Proven experience working in industries such as Healthcare, Financial Services, Banking, or Telecommunications
