JOB DESCRIPTION

Dcode is looking for a passionate Senior Director of Mission Success to contribute to our fast growing government consulting business! As a Senior Director, you will oversee the quality of our client engagements focused on operationalizing innovation in the federal market. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with senior government leaders and helping them foster an innovative culture that attracts emerging technology. You’ll help the government change the way it operates to be more agile, ensure outstanding delivery in order to achieve client expectations, and deliver Dcode product offerings to impact government missions. It's fast paced and exciting!

Salary range: $140,000-$170,000 plus bi-annual bonuses

TS clearance required.

Local position to the DMV.

 

Client Delivery

  • Ensure world-class quality of delivery to our clients, continuously meeting or exceeding client expectations
  • Represent Dcode senior leadership at client meetings and establish relationships with government stakeholders, particularly with high level stakeholders, to understand their unique objectives and needs in order to drive client retention and growth 
  • Oversee success metrics and outcomes defined with each client, and monitor progress to ensure the achievement of their desired outcomes
  • Proactively identify risks and solutions to mitigate them
  • Work closely with Sales to drive client retention, identify opportunities for account expansion, help scope new client engagements, and ensure that the delivery managers are consistently identifying opportunities for growth 
  • Standardize and validate high quality delivery to our clients, and progress towards client outcomes via oversight of quarterly reviews and major deliverables
  • Help Dcode program managers and directors listen to government problems and translate them into success objectives
  • Manage Dcode Field Experts (1099 subject matter experts), identify potential new DFEs, and help the Client Success team effectively leverage them to deliver high-impact advisory support for our government clients
  • Serve as the senior escalation point on client conflicts or challenges

Leadership and Strategy

  • As a senior leader in the Client Success Team, work closely with the Managing Director of Client Success to support in the development and implementation of a client success strategy aligned with Dcode's mission, vision, and business objectives 
  • Mentor, coach, and train on exceptional delivery, managing government clients, addressing government problems, contract management, and proactive risk identification/mitigation
  • Proactively identify themes, areas of growth, and opportunities for improvement and collaboration to ensure Client Success and wider Dcode team growth and culture

Qualifications

KEY SKILLS

You’ll learn something new every day in this role. We’ll teach you the ropes, but ideal candidates will have:

  • 10-15+ years of relevant work experience (to include some government consulting and program management experience)
  • A keen ability to listen to client and discern needs
  • Prior experience delivering and managing relevant government-facing client work 
  • Experience managing client buy-in and mitigating risks
  • Strong understanding of contract management 
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in three or more of the following areas: government acquisitions, government finance and budgeting, policy, process re-engineering, and/or government culture-change
  • The ability to work without being closely managed and the ability to continuously WOW
  • Ability to challenge client mindsets and offer alternative ways of approaching work while maintaining professionalism
  • Proven problem-solving, self-management, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
