About This Role:

The Senior Director, IT Digital Transformation is a senior technology leader responsible for defining and executing iRhythm’s enterprise-wide IT and digital transformation strategy. This role will translate business strategy into a multi-year technology roadmap, modernize the company’s core platforms and processes, and convert technology investments into measurable improvements in growth, operational performance, quality, compliance, and employee experience.

The leader will oversee transformation across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance, human capital, commercial operations, and other enterprise functions. The role will provide strategic direction for enterprise architecture, ERP and business application modernization, data and integration capabilities, technology operating models, and the lifecycle management of major enterprise software platforms and licenses.

As a senior member of the IT leadership team, this leader will partner with executive stakeholders to establish priorities, govern complex programs, manage CapEx and OpEx investments, and ensure that technology initiatives deliver sustainable business value. The role will also lead technology due diligence and integration activities associated with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other significant corporate transactions.

The ideal candidate combines the strategic perspective of a transformation consultant with the operating discipline of an enterprise IT executive. The role requires demonstrated success leading large-scale ERP transformations, commercial transformation, international invoicing and reporting programs, and technology modernization within medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or similarly regulated environments.

Key AccountabilitiesIT and Digital Transformation Strategy
  • Define and lead the multi-year IT and digital transformation roadmap, aligned with corporate growth objectives, operating priorities, and global business requirements.
  • Establish an enterprise transformation portfolio that connects business outcomes, technology capabilities, investment requirements, dependencies, and measurable value realization.
  • Advise the CIO and executive leadership team on technology strategy, modernization priorities, platform decisions, and emerging capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the IT operating model, governance processes, decision rights, and delivery practices.
Enterprise Architecture and Platform Modernization
  • Own the enterprise architecture direction for business applications, data, integration, middleware, and related technology platforms.
  • Lead major platform modernization initiatives, including ERP, CDP, CRM implementation, expansion, optimization, upgrades, consolidation, and replacement programs.
  • Ensure that enterprise architecture supports scalable growth, integration, data integrity, cybersecurity, business continuity, and end-to-end process enablement.
  • Develop rationalization strategies for applications, platforms, technology vendors, and enterprise software licenses, balancing capability, cost, risk, and business value.
ERP, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operational Transformation
  • Lead large-scale ERP and business process transformation across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, quality, and related operational functions.
  • Provide strategic oversight for platforms such as QAD, SAP, or equivalent ERP solutions; MES and manufacturing systems; quality systems; and related boundary applications.
  • Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering leaders to redesign processes and improve throughput, traceability, planning, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure transformation programs address data harmonization, master data governance, controls, validation, training, adoption, and sustainable support models.
Commercial and Customer-Facing Transformation
  • Lead the technology strategy for commercial transformation, including the optimization of CRM, sales operations, customer service, marketing, analytics, and revenue-enablement capabilities.
  • Provide strategic direction for Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms and their integration with ERP, finance, customer, product, and data ecosystems.
  • Enable improved customer experience, sales productivity, commercial visibility, forecasting, reporting, and cross-functional execution.
Global Finance, Invoicing, and Regulatory Enablement
  • Lead technology initiatives supporting international invoicing, tax, electronic invoicing, electronic reporting, and regional compliance requirements.
  • Ensure platforms can support country localization, changing regulatory requirements, regional authority interactions, and scalable global operating processes.
  • Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, Compliance, and regional business leaders to deliver accurate, auditable, and efficient financial and commercial processes.
Consulting and Transformation Delivery Leadership
  • Apply a structured consulting approach to enterprise problem-solving, including current-state assessment, target-state design, business case development, roadmap definition, value realization, and executive alignment.
  • Lead internal teams, systems integrators, consulting firms, and software partners through complex transformation programs.
  • Establish clear outcomes, milestones, governance, delivery standards, and accountability across strategic initiatives.
  • Challenge assumptions, simplify complex decisions, and communicate recommendations effectively to senior business and technology leaders.
  • Assess applications, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, contracts, software licenses, technical debt, integration complexity, and separation requirements.
  • Develop and execute post-merger integration, application consolidation, data harmonization, and technology separation roadmaps.
  • Establish integration priorities, transition plans, risk mitigation actions, and executive reporting for transaction-related technology programs.
Applications Delivery and Operating Model
  • Oversee the delivery model for enterprise applications and transformation initiatives, including intake, prioritization, design, implementation, release management, support, and lifecycle planning.
  • Build and lead a high-performing organization of business systems analysts, product and platform leaders, architects, program managers, and application specialists.
  • Establish strong governance, standardized methodologies, architecture reviews, portfolio reporting, and decision frameworks across business and IT stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective change management, user adoption, training, and transition to operational ownership.
Regulated Environment, Quality, and Compliance
  • Ensure enterprise applications and transformation programs comply with GxP, quality-system, SOX, FDA, data integrity, validation, and other applicable global regulatory requirements.
  • Embed compliance, traceability, risk management, auditability, and quality principles into application design, implementation, change control, and operations.
  • Partner with Quality, Regulatory, Compliance, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to maintain inspection of readiness and effective controls.
Vendor, License, and Financial Management
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with enterprise software providers, systems integrators, consulting firms, and technology partners.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract governance, license optimization, renewal planning, delivery oversight, and performance management for strategic vendors.
  • Own the digital transformation CapEx and OpEx portfolio, ensuring investment discipline, transparent financial reporting, resource accountability, and measurable return on investment.
  • Track benefits realization and communicate the financial and operational impact of transformation investments to executive leadership.
QualificationsLeadership and Transformation Experience
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, business systems, digital transformation, consulting, or IT leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise application organizations and large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success defining and executing multi-year IT and digital transformation roadmaps across multiple business functions and geographies.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive stakeholders and business leaders to deliver measurable operational and financial outcomes.
Enterprise Platforms and Technology Expertise
