We are seeking an experienced Head of Internal Audit to lead our internal audit function and drive enterprise-wide risk management initiatives. This strategic role will be instrumental in strengthening our SOX compliance framework and maturing our internal audit function. The ideal candidate will bring deep IT audit expertise to support Solera's technology-driven business model while building and leading a world-class internal audit organization. This role reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.
Job Description
- Enhance and optimize Solera's existing SOX compliance framework, driving continuous improvements to streamline and reduce compliance burden, while ensuring effective design and operation of internal controls over financial reporting
- Lead SOX testing programs and coordinate with external auditors to ensure successful compliance assessments
- Develop and implement risk-based audit methodologies to evaluate control effectiveness
- Leverage IT audit expertise to assess technology controls, cybersecurity posture, and data governance practices
- Conduct audits of critical IT systems, applications, and infrastructure supporting Solera's platforms
- Present audit findings, risk assessments, and control recommendations to senior management and the audit committee.
- Prepare high-quality reports that clearly articulate issues, root causes, and actionable recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field; CPA, CIA, CISA, or similar professional certification strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive internal audit experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance and financial controls testing in public company environments
- Strong background in IT audit, including experience with cloud technologies, cybersecurity controls, and data governance
- Experience developing and implementing Enterprise Risk Management programs
- Proven track record of building and scaling audit functions in high-growth technology companies
